Gathering the right pieces of information, including the organization’s stance on climate-related risks and opportunities, identifying the applicable stakeholders, and staying agile in the wake of unpredictable climate conditions is critical for OneWay’s agile operations in this vulnerable region.
Module Three - Value Proposition Design “Fit-for-Purpose”
The challenges facing OneWay Ministries as they prepare to scale their operations to mitigate climate change risks are three-fold:
Developing OneWay’s position on climate change in a way that persuades various stakeholders of the imminent risks while harmonizing with the organization’s missiology and creation care theology.
Navigating the logistics of conducting brainstorming workshop sessions with stakeholders that are in different regions of the world and have varied access to reliable tools and technology.
Working with time-sensitive predictions that can vary greatly based on unknown circumstances; for example, if there is a sudden yet catastrophic climate-related weather event in the Sahel Region, there may be more forced migration to northern Ghana sooner than anticipated.
