Gathering the right pieces of information, including the organization’s stance on climate-related risks and opportunities, identifying the applicable stakeholders, and staying agile in the wake of unpredictable climate conditions is critical for OneWay’s agile operations in this vulnerable region.

Module Three - Value Proposition Design “Fit-for-Purpose”

The challenges facing OneWay Ministries as they prepare to scale their operations to mitigate climate change risks are three-fold:

  • Developing OneWay’s position on climate change in a way that persuades various stakeholders of the imminent risks while harmonizing with the organization’s missiology and creation care theology.

  • Navigating the logistics of conducting brainstorming workshop sessions with stakeholders that are in different regions of the world and have varied access to reliable tools and technology.

  • Working with time-sensitive predictions that can vary greatly based on unknown circumstances; for example, if there is a sudden yet catastrophic climate-related weather event in the Sahel Region, there may be more forced migration to northern Ghana sooner than anticipated.
